Overview
Quite possibly the greatest 3D fighting franchise of all time, Tekken provides a diverse set of characters, moves, and combos. It also offers some of the best character balancing of any fighting franchise. Easy to pick up, but tough to master, this game requires practice and patience to be a champion. The arcade version of Tekken Tag used an enhanced version of the PS1 hardware, so it is not as pretty as its PS2 home version, but many fighting enthusiasts prefer this due to the reduced lag time. Improving on the acclaimed Tekken 3, this game lets you pick two players that can be swapped via the "tag" button. Unlike other tag games, Tekken Tag is won or lost when a single player is knocked out, so it adds a layer of strategy to a great sub-genre of team fighting games.
The goal is to get as high of a score as possible before you are knocked out.
Two players can play the game at the same time. Anyone can jump in at any time to play against another player and knock them out of the scoring position.
