Mike Tyson’s Punch Out – NES
Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!, is a boxing sports fighting video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) developed and published by Nintendo in 1987. Part of the Punch-Out!! series, it is a port of both the Punch-Out!! and Super Punch-Out!! arcade games with some variations.
The NES version features a boxer known as Little Mac working his way up the professional boxing circuits, facing a series of colorful, fictional boxers, leading to a final fight with real-life boxer and then-World Heavyweight Champion, Mike Tyson.
Learning your opponent’s patterns and fast reflexes is the key to victory. Each opponent has a tell that advertises their attack, so the more you play, the better you get. Later boxers have more subtle tells and faster attacks, leading to a ramp up in the challenge.
Game Tournament Rules
- Your goal is to knock out the boxer King Hippo, as fast as possible.
- To start a match, tap the GLOWING GREEN BUTTON on top of the TV. That will bring you right to King Hippo.
- Your shortest knock out time is your score for that attempt.
- Get the lowest knock out time to win that game… for now. Anyone else can try to beat your score in the tournament.
- Return at any time to try again.
