Developer Vlambeer’s Super Crate Box brings back the glory of the golden arcade age, when all that really mattered was getting on that high score list. It’s time to fight endless hordes of enemies and collect every weapon crate you can. Prepare for an arcade delight with tight controls, refreshing game mechanics, cracking retro art and a hip chiptune soundtrack.
What makes this game truly different is the game scoring. Instead of points for mowing down enemies, you get a single point for every crate you pick up. Each crate carries a different weapon, so once you grab one, you have to immediately adjust to the new weapon mechanics. This creates a great deal of tension as you try to get just one more point.
Game Tournament Rules
- You must play the Red Map on Standard Mode.
- Collect as many crates as you can before your game ends.
- Your final score at the end of the game is your score for that attempt.
- Beat the current high score to win that game… for now. Anyone else can try to beat your score in the tournament.
- Return at any time to try again.
